Hello and welcome to the first post of Internet Business And Marketing 101. My name is Jeff and I guess I’ll be your guide through the site. I started my own small business back in 200 and have been a freelance web programmer ever since. So, I’ve accumulated a lot of knowledge about the internet, business, and marketing.
What is InternetBusinessAndMarketing101.com?
This site has a couple goals. Well, maybe it’s just one goal that has a couple different applications or uses.
See, over the years, I’d been gathering information and either scribbling it out on little notepads or printing out the info on a sheet of paper and then filing the paper away. And, my wonderful filing system makes it tough to FIND the information when I need it again. (yeah, who would have guess that a computer geek would be a bad filer?)
Then it struck me one day… “Doy! Why don’t I just start putting the information on a website so it can be electronically categorized, tagged, and searched?” So that’s the goal of the site.
The secondary goal would then to help the millions of small/home businesses out there by giving them free access to the site. Not all the information on this site will relate to every small business, but hopefully you’ll be able to find a few good nuggets here and there.

I encourage you to leave comments any bit of information you find useful. Maybe you’ve had experience with the topic and can offer a different slant or viewpoint. Please do.
One thing I ask, though, is that any comments or information you post should be relevant and add value to the topic. In other words, no spam.

What now?
Well, I think that about wraps up the goals and summary of what I’d like this site to become. Now it’s just a matter of me going through my wonderful filing cabinets, prioritizing my notes/scribbles, and posting them on the site.
The first few posts may be a bit chaotic and frequent since I really want to get stuff added to the site quickly. So, I’m going to sign off now and start adding some “real” content.
