I was thumbing my way through the 12 TV channels I get and ran across an interesting little show on one of the PBS channels… “Minnovation: The Geek and the Weatherman”.
Robert Stephens (the geek - founder of Geek Squad) and Paul Douglas (the weatherman) share their thoughts on growth in the technology world and discuss why innovation is seen as the new currency of business.
Robert starts the show off by telling the story of how the Geek Squad started out as a small business in the Twin Cities, expanded, and they eventually approached Best Buy.
I remember listing to Robert on Minnesota Public Radio back in the day when he used to have a call in show once a month. So it was cool to listen to him again and to finally see what he looks like.
Paul Douglas’ presentation isn’t part of the show (at least I’m assuming he gave a presentation at the event) but he joins Robert at the end for questions and answers from the audience.
I’m not able to embed the video so here’s a link to the video page. (Look for Minnovation: The Geek and the Weatherman on the page)
